Site Reliability Engineer

Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer, who is keen on infrastructure as code, continuous delivery and who aims to continuously improve their area of responsibility.

We view Microsoft cloud solutions and services as tiles of one complex, but beautiful puzzle.

The role you’ll play

As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure components and CI / CD pipelines that are essential to the success of multiple internal delivery teams.

You will join forces with a dynamic team of experts dedicated to delivering cutting-edge infrastructure-as-a-product to our internal development teams.

You will collaborate on the border of development and operations teams as a crucial connection point.

Your passion for innovation and your ability to take charge will be invaluable as you support high-quality CI / CD flows and infrastructure that drive our organization forward.

The team you’ll be a part of

The Platform Engineering team builds and operates the foundational infrastructure that enables product teams to deliver software quickly, safely, and reliably.

We create golden paths for common development workflows, provide self-service infrastructure and CI / CD pipelines, and help embed observability, security, and compliance into the platform by default.

By reducing complexity and enabling autonomy, we help developers focus on building features while ensuring systems remain scalable and reliable in line with our technical strategy.

Each member of the Platform Engineering team works with a high degree of autonomy, taking full ownership of their solutions from design and implementation to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Delivering the full lifecycle means not only building but also ensuring that others can adopt and benefit from your work through clear docs, training, and onboarding.

We trust our engineers to manage their tasks and give them the flexibility to adapt their schedule, as long as collaboration and delivery goals are met.

Responsibilities
  • Managing CI / CD flows based on DevOps best practices
  • Developing state-of-the-art Terraform products
  • Providing developers with golden paths to bring code from idea to production smoothly
  • Helping developers with Azure hosting questions
  • Supporting other teams in resolving issues and incidents involving our tech stack
In one year, you’ll know you were successful if…
  • You have a portfolio of cross-team components and internal infrastructure in as-a-code products
  • You have shared knowledge with counterpart SREs and onboarded them to your solutions
  • You have helped internal teams to reuse solutions for generic development use cases
What you’ll need to bring
  • Hands-on experience with: Public cloud providers
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • CI / CD workflows
  • Observability practices

Experience with our specific tech stack is a plus but not a strong requirement.

We value problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a growth mindset.

Our stack includes Azure, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Grafana.

You are a technical leader and a guardian of our infrastructure, working closely with Architects.

This requires strong communication skills to align teams with our strategy and ensure best practices are followed.

What will make you stand out
  • Experience running dockerized applications in production on Kubernetes
  • A track record of improving processes to streamline CI / CD pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of Observability tools — using them to gain insights, detect issues early, and accelerate incident resolution
Our perks
  • Enjoy flat hierarchies, responsibility and freedom, direct feedback, and room to stand up for your own ideas
  • Internal development opportunities, ongoing support from your People Partner, and an inclusive and fun company culture
  • International company with over 400 employees.

    Offices in multiple cities
  • Full-time option for remote work
  • Social events and a collaborative, inclusive work environment
  • Private health insurance
  • Working in an international environment with more than 20 nationalities
  • Dog-friendly atmosphere
  • Modern offices with amenities including a kitchen, rooftop terrace, and game area
